Amber Alert Issued; Police Officer Sentenced; Fiscal Cliff Meeting;Sleeping In The Buff

An Amber alert has been issued for two metro Atlanta boys. Police say Ben and Henry Cleary - ages 9 and 7- were with their father and were supposed to return home Wednesday. Daniel Cleary had been visiting with his sons since December 19, but when they did not return to their mother an Amber alert was issued. Daniel Cleary is described as a 46-year-old Caucasian man who weighs about 220 pounds with medium-length gray hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a silver 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a temporary tag number 10742627 . Ben Cleary is 4 feet 8 inches tall, Caucasian and 66 pounds. Henry Cleary is 4 feet 5 inches tall, Caucasian and 60 pounds. Authorities believe Cleary may be in the Nashville vicinity.

A former Fulton County police officer has been sentenced to 25-years in prison on charges of child molestation. On Thursday a jury found 32-year old Michael Bernard Wilson guilty of molesting and raping a 12-year old girl. The incident happened in 2010. After the allegations surfaced, Wilson was suspended without pay and eventually terminated from the Fulton County police department.

Terry Glover the managing editor of Ebony magazine has lost her battle with cancer. Glover died Thursday of colon cancer. She was 57. Glover joined Ebony in 2006 and was described by many as the "heart and soul" of the magazine. She had been fighting cancer for about two years.

Retired Desert Storm commander Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf has died.  Schwarzkopf died Thursday in Tampa, Fla., from complications from pneumonia. Schwarzkopf led the international-coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait in 1991. Schwarzkopf  had retired to Florida and lived a quiet life, supporting various national causes and children's charities.


A meeting at the White House on the fiscal cliff is scheduled for today, but there is still no sign that an agreement is in the near future. The meeting could be a make-or-break moment. Lawmakers are trying to avoid a across-the-board tax increases and deep spending cuts set to take place on January 1st. The House plans to convene in a rare session on Sunday in attempt to resolve the issue.


A new study finds eight-percent of Americans say they sleep in the nude. In a new nationwide survey only 74-percent of people say they wear pajamas to bed, eight-percent sleep in the nude and the remainder usually have on some type of clothing.  As far as the quality of sleep goes, most Americans say they aren't getting enough.  The survey shows that 65 percent say they get a "restful night's sleep" only three nights per week or less.
