Bad news for people looking for work. The government says 120,00 jobs were added in March, but that's down from more than 200,000 during each of the previous three months. However, then unemployment rate has dipped to 8.2% nationwide.

Georgia's law requiring certain people to report suspected child abuse has been widened to include a larger group of people. Now, church volunteers, colleges, clubs, summer camps or parents who chaperone a field trip could be jailed if they fail to report suspected abuse under the new provision approved by lawmakers last week.

Legendary Georgia football player Herschel Walker is announcing plans to open a restaurant and sports bar at a proposed $1 billion gambling complex in Norcross. Walker and developer Dan O'Leary say the restaurant would feature memorabilia from Walker's career at University of Georgia and in the NFL. The entire project would also include a hotel, spa, video lottery terminals and other restaurants.

Out of the suburbs! A new study of census data finds that Atlanta is one of the top cities in the country, where folks are leaving the suburbs and returning to the city. Rising gas prices seem to be the culprit. Demographer Kenneth Johnson says Paulding and Pike counties were hard hit in particular. Atlanta ranks with cities including Phoenix and Charlotte as being particularly affected by this trend.

Two years after a test cheating scandal rocked Atlanta, test erasures are nearly non-existent across the state. At the height of the CRCT cheating in 2009, 74 schools were flagged for suspicious erasures. A new state report puts the number in 2011 at three schools. The state credits some new security measures, such as placing state monitors in schools to oversee the exams, and rotating teachers into different classrooms so they're not monitoring their own students.

A task force taking a look at Florida's "Stand Your Ground" self-defense law says the Trayvon Martin case is one example of how the law is ambiguous. One task force member says, "Our conclusion is that this law ought to be repealed. We don't think it's a thing we can tweak."

A military board is recommending that a Marine be kicked out of the military for criticizing President Obama on Facebook. Now, a general will accept or deny the board's decision. Prosecutors say Sgt. Gary Stein had on his Facebook page the movie poster-like image of the president's face on what he called the Armed Forces Tea Party. The image had the president's face on a donkey's body with the caption, "Jackass." Stein's attorneys say he was exercising free speech.
