A father and aunt are charged with murdering a four-year-old Alpharetta girl. Alpharetta Police say the girl died of extreme alcohol poisoning. Her uncle, Pierre Remy, tells Channel 2 Action News it was purely accidental, that no one in the family would have given the girl alcohol.
"None of us, we do not tolerate children drinking, you understand?" says Remy. "We don't give them alcohol. Accidentally, if it turns into the wrong hands, you know what I mean, that's a lesson that the father has to carry for the rest of his life.
The girl was found "in distress" Friday at the Planter's Ridge Condos on Homestead Trail and pronounced dead at the hospital. Police haven't released her father's and aunt's names.

Tom Joyner offers to broker peace talks between his friend, frat brother and morning show rival Steve Harvey and Harvey's ex-wife, Mary, who recently posted videos on YouTube blasting her ex-husband for allegedly cheating on her with the woman who's now his wife, leaving her broke after their divorce, and keeping their son from talking to her.
"This is not about a settlement. It's not about money," says Mary Harvey, who agrees that an apology is what is needed. "Absolutely. I think the apology should be given to the women that have been deceived into buying the books, who have been deceived into seeing this person as a pillar of the community when that's actually not happening."
Joyner pointed out that Steve Harvey is "doing some good" in the community, but Mary Harvey (pictured here with then-husband Steve in 2001) compared that to a rape victim lacking closure being told that the rapist is now "doing good to the community." Joyner said, "This isn't rape," to which she replied, "It's rape to me, Tom."
Joyner asked Mary if he could arrange a behind-closed-doors meeting between her and Steve, without microphones or lawyers, in order to quash the drama once and for all, she said she would be cooperative.
"I've been cooperative this entire time, by staying silent," she said.

Investors are concerned about disruptions to oil supply, as much of the Middle East oil is transported through the area. Friday, the Dow lost 166 points.
Some inmates at the Whitfield County jail are suing the sheriff for $5 million, saying they were among 29 men forced to smear cream on their bodies and stay naked for 12 hours. They claim deputies forced them to do it over concern that a recently-released inmate had had lice. Two jail staffers have already been disciplined for the October incident.
Should you be packing heat in the church pews? A Marietta Republican state lawmaker hopes a recent federal judge's ruling upholding Georgia's ban on guns in church persuades the legislature to pass his bill allowing guns in places of worship. Bobby Franklin says with kids involved in custody disputes and a lot of cash in the collection plate, weapons should be permitted there. He's also backing a bill to let people carry concealed weapons on college campuses.
KISS news about your health: the government warns half the American population to cut back on salt. The warning goes for people who are 51 and older, African-Americans and anyone suffering from hypertension, diabetes or chronic kidney disease. For everyone else, the government continues to recommend about a teaspoon a day--2,300 milligrams, or about one-third less than the average person usually consumes. The recommendation is aimed strongly at the food industry, because most salt intake doesn't come from the shaker on the table--it's hidden in foods such as breads, chicken and pasta.
House Speaker John Boehner makes no apology for how often he's spotted crying; he tells FOX he's likely to tear up when he feels strongly about something. What he doesn't want to hear about? How come he hasn't quit smoking, saying, "Why do we bring this up again? You know, smoking. Listen, it's a bad habit, but I have it. It's a legal product. I choose to smoke. Leave me alone." President Obama is also a smoker--but the White House has said he's trying to give it up.
