Girl's Body Found in Dumpster; More Needles at Wal-Mart; Ticketmaster Gives Customers Credits

By Veronica Waters

Autopsy results for seven-year-old Jorelys Rivera are expected today as the search for her killer focuses on the apartment complex where she was last seen alive. She was sexually assaulted, beaten and thrown away in a Dumpster. Police have interviewed sex offenders in the area as neighbors remain gripped by fear--knowing a predator is on the loose. GBI Director Vernon Keenan says they and Canton Police are depending on the public to tell them anything they know--because right now, they have not zeroed in on any suspects.

A pimp named Candyman gets more than 17 years in federal prison for sex trafficking a minor. Assistant U. S. Attorney Richard Moultrie tells me 30-year-old Chesire Robinson made the teenager work all night every night here in metro Atlanta--pimping her out everywhere from truck stops on Fulton Industrial Boulevard to the Internet. The court ordered Robinson to pay the girl more than $14,000 in restitution.

A bank for ballers opens in Buckhead. Los Angeles-based City National Bank is private, and has a rep for financial planning and services for the entertainment industry--those in music, movies and theater. Georgia's capital city is a big hub for entertainment, especially with tax breaks that encourage Hollywood production. Business moguls and high-profile entertainers like Tyler Perry, T.I. and Ludacris call Atlanta home. Metro Atlanta has more than 100,000 households with more than $1 million in investable assets.

More syringes have been found at the Wal-Mart in Bartow County. A woman who was putting on some pants she bought Black Friday was pricked by a needle; an inspection later found another hanging on a pair of pants still on the store rack. No one was injured, and police say it appears the needles are clean and unused--but they're being tested by the state crime lab to be sure.

A Decatur man gets his Christmas decorating done with a gun. After a driver spotted him shooting mistletoe out of the trees near North DeKalb Mall Sunday afternoon, police were called to the scene where 66-year-old William Robinson was letting fly with his 12-gauge. Robinson was surprised the cops were there--saying he always gets his mistletoe this way. Robinson admits he's not usually this close to the mall. Now, he's charged with reckless conduct.

If you have ever bought tickets from Ticketmaster you may have some money coming back your way...part of a class-action lawsuit settlement that said customers were overcharged for order processing fees when buying tickets online. Ticketmaster customers get a $1.50 credit on up to 17 tickets they paid for between specific dates in 1999 and 2011. The credits can be used for future ticket buys. You'll be getting an e-mail if you qualify for the credits.

A 300-pound bodybuilder faces attempted homicide charges after beating a Southern California couple on the front porch of their home. Twenty-two-year-old Ruben Arzu may have been under the influence of steroids--and he was wearing nothing but his birthday suit when he showed up on their porch. He went off when they told him to leave. It took four police officers, two stun-gun blasts and four sets of handcuffs to restrain him.

The KISS 104 weather forecast: cloudy, scattered light rain showers, high of 69.
