  • Days after Conyers beautician Nikki Whitehead was found beaten and stabbed in a pool of blood, friends suspected her daughters were to blame.  Four months later, the 16-year-old twins, Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah, have been charged with murder--and Whitehead's friends say they're not surprised.  Her best friend Yucca Harris tells Channel 2 Action News, "She said that if anything happened to her, she said the kids did it."  The beautician was killed days after the girls--who moved out after attacking their mother back in 2008--moved back home in January.  Cops are keeping the two in different jails so they can't compare notes.

  • In Lumpkin County, parents and students are coming to the defense of a Dahlonega AP history teacher suspended when several of her students wore Klan robes on campus for a film project.  Some residents say SCLC president Markel Hutchins is blowing this out of proportion.  Catherine Ariemma is white.

  • A heckler interrupts President Obama in a San Francisco fundraiser, yelling for him to "move faster" on ending the Don't Ask, Don't Tell ban on gays serving openly in the military.  The president drew loud laughs, cheers and applause from the crowd when he said, "If he wants to demonstrate, buy a ticket to a guy who doesn't support his point of view, and then you can yell as much as you want there."  Mr. Obama says Congress is hard to rush.  There is a vote Thursday in the House on the repeal of the ban, but the Senate is on a different timetable.

  • Melting pot or racial divide?  The growth of interracial marriages is slowing among U.S.-born Hispanics and Asians. Still, blacks are substantially more likely than before to marry whites.  The latest census figures show eight percent of American marriages are mixed-race, up a percent from 10 years ago.

  • The Pussycat Doll takes home the mirror ball.  Nicole Scherzinger wins Dancing with the Stars; gold medal Olympian skater Evan Lysacheck came in second, and Atlanta-based ESPN reporter Erin Andrews finished third.

  • Remember John Mark Carr, who falsely confessed to killing JonBenet Ramsey, and later was pretty much run out of Atlanta?  Well, say goodbye to that guy--again.  Carr has legally changed his name to Alexis Reich and is published reports say he is set to get a sex change and that a Facebook profile showing him as a woman has been removed, apparently because of the media spotlight.  A 19-year-old former student, Samantha Spigel, claims he's doing it to be closer to girls.

  • Falcons fans, you'll pay more to park next season.  The World Congress Center Authority says Georgia Dome parking lots will go from $10 to $15 come fall.

  • Will the "top kill" method kill the Gulf gusher?  Today BP has a plan to shoot heavy drilling mud and cement into the spewing well-head to try and plug it.  They'll keep the live video feed going during the procedure.  They've been reviewing the results of pressure tests to determine whether to go through with it. Watch the LIVE Gulf oil leak cam here.

  • Governor Sonny Perdue says he supports letting an illegal immigrant finish getting her degree at Kennesaw State University as long as she pays out-of-state tuition.   Jessica Colotl was nearly deported after a traffic stop, but was given a yearlong deferment by Immigration so she could complete college.  Now, she faces a felony charge for giving police an old address.
