The BP oil leak is being blamed for thick pools of oil washing up on Florida's once pristine Pensacola Beach. Health officials are advising against swimming and fishing along the shoreline for now. One Pensacola Beach fisherman says the beach is ruined. Emergency crews are working around the clock to clean up the mess.


There were some tense moments at the Fulton County courthouse Wednesday when two people tried to pass through security with handguns. Both were arrested in the separate and apparently unrelated incidents. Scanning machines used by courthouse security detected the weapons.


Georgia death row inmate Troy Davis will be back in a courtroom Thursday for a federal hearing that was granted by the U. S. Supreme Court. The convicted cop killer has been given a rare opportunity to argue his innocence as he seeks a new trial in the 1980's killing of a Savannah police officer.

More than 2 million cribs from seven companies are being recalled. There are concerns over babies suffocating and becoming trapped in the cribs. Most of the cribs involved have drop-sides, which have a side rail that moves up and down. That movable side can malfunction or detach from the crib, creating a gap where babies' heads can become trapped, leading to suffocation or strangulation.

No deaths have been associated with the cribs, however there are reports of at least 16 entrapments of infants.

750,000 Jenny Lind drop-side cribs distributed by Evenflo Inc.

747,000 Delta drop-side cribs.

306,000 Bonavita, Babi Italia and ISSI drop-side cribs manufactured by LaJobi Inc.

130,000 Jardine drop-side cribs imported by Toys R Us.

156,000 Million Dollar Baby drop-side cribs.

50,000 Simmons drop-side cribs.

40,000 to 50,000 Child Craft brand stationary-side cribs and an unknown number of Child Craft brand drop-sides.

Former Vice President Al Gore is facing sexual harassment allegations. Oregon police say a massage therapist accused Gore back in 2006 of ``unwanted sexual contact'' but they found insufficient evidence in the case. The therapist threatened about a month ago to take her case to the media and the case was reopened last year. The woman's name has not been revealed.
