A couple facing charges in the murder of missing University of West Georgia student 21-year-old Marcy Elliott will be in a courtroom Friday. There's word from friends that the suspects, 29-year-old Farrah Strength and her boyfriend 31-year-old Joshua Clay are both fascinated with demons and death. Elliott had been missing for a week before her body was found Wednesday.

Dekalb County officer Jerome Tillery has now been released from the hospital after being shot in the arm while responding to a 911 call Wednesday. The man suspected of shooting the officer is still at large. Friends and family of suspect Derek Frye are asking that he turn himself in. Frye is facing aggravated assault charges.

Making your way around town could be a bit tricky next week. President Barack Obama is coming to Atlanta Monday to speak at the national convention of Disabled American Veterans. This will mark the second time the president has visited Georgia this year.

Ousted Georgia USDA director Shirley Sherrod is planning to sue right-wing blogger Andrew Breitbart after he posted a selectively edited video of her, which made it appear as if she would not give a white farmer her full support, when in actuality, she'd helped the family save their farm. Once the truth was discovered, Sherrod was offered a new USDA job after being forced to resign. No word yet on whether or not Sherrod will accept the position.

Marta workers, caught sleeping on the job, will be forced to take 10 days off as a part of their punishment. The 10 employees were working in the electrical power and equipment department when they were caught. Marta says after suspending the workers, they fired their supervisor for not following protocol.

Good news for workers at Lockheed Martin in Cobb County............work begins Friday on a new F-35 Jet Fighter program. Over the next 6 years, Lockheed plans to hire over 400 new workers to help with the project. The planes will be used by the Air Force, Navy, and Marines.

Something special will be taking at the Georgia Aquarium starting this weekend. In honor of "Shark Week" the world's largest fish tank will offer a live ``shark cam'' and other online video options starting Sunday.

Here's a good reason to get out and mingle this weekend...........a new study shows spending too much time by yourself can be hazardous to your health. Researchers say living the life of a "loner" can actually be as harmful as smoking or alcoholism and twice as dangerous as obesity. They found having friends and extended family can help buffer the stresses of life and reduce risky behaviors.

J-Lo could become the next American Idol judge. Former "Fly Girl" Jennifer Lopez is said to be considering an offer from Fox TV's popular singing contest show, according to a person familiar with the negotiations. The news of Lopez comes as comedian-talk show host Ellen DeGeneres' announces her departure after one year as judge. Back in May, Simon Cowell left the show after nine seasons to start a new show for Fox.

The KISS 104.1 Weather Forecast: Sunny and hot with afternoon high's in the upper 90's. Over the weekend, chance for storms with high's in the low to mid 90's.
