The Fate of U.G.A. Athletic Director Damon Evans is Unknown after DUI Arrest; A Flying Car?; Chris Browns' Camp Denies "Crocodile Tears" Accusation- KISS News Now!

UGA athletic director Damon Evans is apologizing after being arrested on DUI charges Wednesday night in Atlanta. Evans also says he failed miserably in being a leader and representing the University of Georgia. He was charged with DUI and failure to maintain a lane. Also in the 2009 BMW with Evans was 28-year-old Courtney Fuhrmann. She was charged with disorderly conduct after police said she repeatedly ignored warnings to stay inside the vehicle while the officer conducted a field sobriety test. Evans (the married father of two) says Fuhrmann is just a friend. It's unclear if Evans will lose his job.


Gwinnett County commission chairman Charlie Bannister is no longer facing DUI charges. This comes after blood tests results showed Bannister had no alcohol in his system at the time of his arrest Monday night.


Your power bill could be going up next year if Georgia Power has its way. Officials are looking to raise rates by 10 percent for residential customers in an effort to deal with the recession. If the rate increase is approved this December, your bill could go up by about $11 a month starting in January.


A woman was injured in Southwest Atlanta after shots rang out at a nightclub early Friday morning. The shooting took place outside of the Figure Eight Salon on Campbellton Road around 2am. Just before the bullets started to fly, several people were asked to leave the club after getting into a fist fight. The female victim is said to be in stable condition.

The vehicle (made by a Massachusetts company) has wings that unfold for flying. It gets 115 miles per hour in the air and about 30 miles on the ground. The cost of the flying vehicle is $194,000.


Chris Brown is denying claims of crying crocodile tears during a Micheal Jackson tribute on June 27th. Brown's camp denies that his emotional breakdown during "Man in the Mirror" was staged. The rumors started when there were allegations that Brown's bodyguard gave him "tear inducing eye drops" before he went on stage.
