The Super Bowl was watched by more than 106 million people surpassing the 1983
finale of M-A-S-H'' to become the most-watched program in television history.
The Nielsen Co. estimated Monday that 106.5 million people watched the New
Orleans Saints upset the Indianapolis Colts. That beats theM-A-S-H'' finale,
which had 105.97 million viewers in an era when there were fewer television
sets. Compelling story lines involving the city of New Orleans and its recovery
from Hurricane Katrina and the quest for a second Super Bowl ring for
Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning propelled the viewership. The game also
obliterated the previous record viewership for a Super Bowl last year's game
between Arizona and Pittsburgh in which 98.7 million people watched. One
New Orleans Saints fan who has been celebrating all night says he's glad he's in
the Big Easy for what he calls a once-in-a-lifetime event.'' Crews along
Bourbon Street this morning have been cleaning up the remnants of the street
party that began even before the Saints finished off the Indianapolis Colts last

morning for a flight to Houston -- and then to Hawaii -- says she's been told to
come back tomorrow.
After a week of trying, Dr. Conrad Murray was preparing
to finally surrender Monday, with prosecutors saying they will file a charge in
the death of Michael Jackson. A district attorney's spokeswoman did not name the
doctor nor say what the charge will be but Murray's lawyers have said they
expect a single charge of involuntary manslaughter against the man who
administered an anesthetic to the singer before he died. In a brief statement
posted on his Web site Monday, Murray's lead attorney said his client was
prepared to surrender at the courthouse adjacent to Los Angeles International
Airport at 1:30 p.m. PST. In anticipation of his arrival, TV news vans and
satellite trucks filled the courthouse parking lot before dawn. Murray has been
the focal point of a police investigation since Jackson died under his care last
June 25 at age 50.
Flights have resumed at Reagan National Airport near
Washington, D.C., after being grounded for more than two days by the region's
heavy snowstorm. But most flights are still listed as
The Obama administration is asking a health insurance
company to justify its rate hike. Anthem Blue Cross is planning to raise health
insurance premiums by as much as 39 percent for customers in California. Health
and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sent a letter to the company's
president today saying the increases are hard to understand.

Atlanta records more than 10 thousand foreclosure notices in February, up 27
percent from the month before. Gwinnett leads the pack with 2100.
A
25-year-old man never wakes up from a sleep study at Emory. Brandon Harris'
mother says her son had Type- 2 diabetes and was overweight. The hospital says
his medical condition led to his death last month. Harris' uncle watched video
of him and claims Harris waved for help from his bed several times before
collapsing on the floor. EMT's worked on him for 40 minutes before he was moved
to the emergency room. Harris' family alleges neglect. His mom believes the
sleep center should be closed.
A homeless man is charged with the 2008
murder of a preschool teacher outside Gwinnett place mall. Detectives say Ronald
Smith killed Genai Coleman for her car.
Six suspects are jailed for a
weekend smash & grab at the Macy's at Southlake Mall. They allegedly ripped
off 10 grand in clothing by smashing a car into the Southside department store.
The alleged kidnappers of a 4-year-old boy in Cobb are due in court
today. The suspects apparently were after an insurance pay-out to the mom.
The space shuttle endeavor lifts off for the international space
station, one of the final five shuttle missions this year.
