Police say Nickey Maxwell Van Exel (right) is jailed on $1 million bond in the fatal shooting of Bradley Eyo, who had been killed at a home and dumped near a lake. Van Exel's lawyer says the friend was killed while the two were horsing around with Van Exel's stepfather's gun, which Van Exel didn't know was loaded. The state high court had ruled that having Stewart tried along with Simpson worked against Stewart because of Simpson's notoriety.
