Prosecution: Defendant denied involvement in Tillman's death

By Andrew Spencer

Tuesday brings another day of testimonty in the beating death trial of teenager Bobby Tilman, who was killed at a party in November 2010.

The lead investigator testified on Monday that defendant Tracen Franklin initially denied any involvement in Tilman's death.

"I told [Franklin], 'You're not being honest and truthful with us,'" testified Sheriff's Lieutenant Bruce Ferguson, "and then that's when he said, 'I've got something else to say.'"

Ferguson says Franklin then admitted kicking and hitting Tilman.

During opening statements, defense attorneys asserted that it was never Franklin's intention to kill Tilman.

Franklin could face the death penalty if convicted.
