As part of Black History Month, the Atlanta Collage Society is pleased to present “An Evening with Larry Walker”. Walker, a renowned collage and mixed material artist, will be discussing the influences of other artists on his work and the historical importance of collage and it's relevance today. He will discuss such artists as Romare Bearden, a fellow African-American artist who is often considered the pre-eminent collagist of the 20th century. The event will include the participation of Myrna Anderson-Fuller, Director of the Hammond House Museum. This event is in conjunction with the exhibit "Shared Visions" by the Atlanta Collage Society currently on view through March 9th, in the Georgia room at the Hudgens Center for the Arts.
