In Ancient Nasca People and Their Arts, graduate student Meghan Tierney will introduce teachers to the Nasca civilization that flourished from 100 to 800 CE in the dry, southern coast of Peru. The Nasca, known for complex textiles and polychrome ceramics, also created the giant desert drawings known as the Nasca lines. Learn how climate and geography influenced the impressive range of Nasca artwork. Fee: $7 for Museum members; $10 for non-members.
