Participants in this fun, interactive class will learn how to make responsible decisions and keep children in their care safe. Training includes decision-making processes, real-life problem-solving skills, how to handle emergencies and illnesses, basic care giving skills, how to choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games, and how to effectively handle bedtime and discipline issues. This class is ideal for new babysitters or older siblings. Participants will also receive adult, child and infant CPR and AED training and certification. Materials: A separate fee of $20 is payable to the instructor on the day of the class for a student manual and certificate. Participants should also bring a brown bag lunch, as well as a pencil or pen. Attire: Comfortable clothing.
